Katapic turns your WooCommerce catalog into clearer, better-structured product pages — easier to find on Google and in AI search engines (also called answer engines) like ChatGPT and Perplexity. In other words: SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) for your product catalog, without the manual work.
This plugin connects your store to Katapic in one click. You don’t have to create or copy any API keys: the plugin sets up the connection for you, securely, and your products are imported automatically.
With your store connected, in Katapic you can:
- See a clear search‑visibility score for every product, on two axes: SEO (Google) and AI search / AEO (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews).
- Rewrite weak product descriptions in bulk with AI — review the before/after, then publish back to your store.
- Fill the gaps that make products hard to find: thin descriptions, missing attributes, weak titles.
- Keep your catalog optimized as it grows, in 10 languages.
What this plugin does on your store: it creates a WooCommerce REST API key (read/write) so Katapic can read your products and write back optimized descriptions. That’s it — it never touches your customers, orders or payments.
A Katapic account is required (you can create one for free during the connection). Katapic is a third‑party service — see the External services section below.
External services
This plugin connects your site to Katapic, a third‑party SaaS hosted at app.katapic.com, to optimize your product listings.
- When data is sent: when you click Connect to Katapic, and afterwards while your store stays connected.
- What is sent on connect: your site address (URL), your store name, and a WooCommerce REST API key that the plugin generates on your store. The login/registration to Katapic happens on app.katapic.com — your Katapic password is never seen by the plugin.
- What Katapic does with it: uses the API key to read your products and write back optimized descriptions. It does not read or store your customers, orders or payment data.

You can disconnect at any time from this plugin’s page (which revokes the API key), or from WooCommerce Settings Advanced REST API.

Installation
- Install and activate the plugin (WooCommerce must be active).
- Go to WooCommerce Katapic.
- Click Connect to Katapic, log in or create your free account, and approve.
- Done — your products are imported and ready to optimize.

Do I need to create API keys myself?

No. The plugin creates the WooCommerce API key for you and sets up the connection. (If you prefer, you can still connect manually inside Katapic.)
